Contact details
Solar Express Trading 43 cc was registered in 2005 under registration number 2005/148311/23 . I am the principle share holder of the company holding 100% membership. The concept of entering into the transportation sector was well investigated by a mutual friend and my future partner. Conclusion was reached that there are very few or innovative participation from black women in the economical enterprise and opportunity presented itself to me. As a 35 year old colored woman from a disadvantaged background I felt that I could make a difference and was introduced to this industry through a mutual friend who has been in the transport sector for almost 23 years. He obtained three signed sub-contracts through relationship from his contacts as a truck driver in 2006.
I then had a business plan dr ...awn up with projected cash flow and profit / loss projection schedules to get started. I then went to SARS (The South African Revenue Service) to get a tax certificate and all relevant compliance documents in place. Being unemployed at the time when the company was registered I became pregnant. Still not able to get a job I approached various financial institutes and even started looking for investors to invest in my plan but was declined due to the fact that I have no assets or surety.
I was informed by the banks that I cannot get finance as I was going to sub-contract for the said companies and that I needed direct contracts in order for them to even look at my business plan.
Solar Express Trading 43 cc mission is to provide professional and effective management services in the transport / logistics sector. We also wish to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and to become a total tailored logistics and transport service provider in our community and South Africa.
Being told that I do not have a chance making it in this business sector and it being highly risky and as a woman that made me even more determined to succeed. I have been trying for the last two years since the company was registered to get assistance. My socio-economic benefit will be to create jobs for families and to the people working with me and to ensure that poverty is alleviate in my community. I will also inform all relevant group companies in my area about my business to ensure fair and uncompromising trade in the community.

There are a number of regulations and cost involved to obtain the trading of my business and without funds this will affect our business sector and failing to comply will affect my business as a whole. We will comply with regulation as licenses and permits are required in order to operate effectively and we will apply with the local government and national departments to ensure we are compliant.
